Aren't eggs for Easter?

Do you know there are really only 2 things that matter
to your web business?

Traffic. Conversion.

That's it.

Everything else is a distraction.

Here's an example.

We just launched a new product at http://www.viralsalesgenerator.com
and we're dying for traffic. My partners are asking when can they do their emailing, how about press releases, videos, and so on.

But I'm delaying all that.

We have bigger fish to fry. First we're focusing on the conversion.

That's so we can get the most return on any traffic investment
we make.

e.g.
At the moment we probably have the world record for the longest, and lamest headline. That's not a traffic issue. It's hurting conversion.

Sure we've already made some sales to early adopters, and
that's encouraging, but the big sales are still out there and
before we turn up the heat we need to have better sales
copy that converts that traffic to buyers.

Do you care about conversion?

You came to my site looking for some affiliate tracking
system, or had some related questions. Unfortunately that's
not much to do with conversion, as affiliate strategy is
mainly about getting low cost traffic to your site.

So what are you doing about conversion?

And what's it all have to do with eggs at this time of year?

I'll keep this short.

If you want to know what visitors are doing on your site,
where they're clicking and poking around, you need to check
out this web 2.0ish site monitoring tool.

It's so easy I bet my 93 year old grandmother could do it.

No affiliate link here folks. Just a great tip that I hope
you check out now and get a starter account that costs
nada.

Start monitoring a few pages and see what you learn. Maybe
it leads you to reconsider some things that your new
"corporate marketing committee" thought up last week.

It's more of a conversion tool than a traffic tool, as it
shows you where people are browsing and clicking.

This can give you more ideas about what you need to really
test.

So think of traffic and conversion. The rest is a distraction.
